The Business Challenge
The operating environment at VyStar Credit Union for managing policies and procedures, documents, and forms has placed an administrative burden on the IS department in the Head Office. The users have also requested additional features which the current system cannot provide without further development effort.
VyStar currently has 22 branches and 22 departments and there is a significant amount of time spent on the organization and production of documents and forms. In order for VyStar to continue to follow its successful, established processes for managing its documents and forms, while improving efficiencies in these processes, an ideal solution for automating and distributing document management tasks, while also serving as a platform for organizing, distributing, and protecting enterprise content must be implemented.
Microsoft SharePoint Implementation Solution
Idea Integration implemented the SharePoint Technologies platform which provided the compatibility, stability and reliability that VyStar needed. The Windows base platforms enabled VyStar’s IT department to provide world class networking and collaboration products to their user community. By providing a SharePoint Portal Server 2007 infrastructure for all VyStar branches and departments, the VyStar IT department achieved the corporate objectives.

- Distribute administration of branch-level and department-level site content and security to individuals in those business units where applicable

- Support an integrated, extensible platform to manage the intranet applications
- Provide an intuitive, Rapid Application Development environment for forms creation (InfoPath), reducing the level of effort of creation and maintenance of electronic forms
